I haven't updated in forever, and I'm sure much more has gone on since I last posted...I know I have more pics to put up or at least post about (like the PA pictures).
Last two Friday's ago I was able to go out to Mt. Hood Ski Bowl with work, freakin' great! 18 holes of the most evil disc golf I've ever seen! Missed out on the bungee jumping and go karts, but I did get to have some beers, eat some food and play on an amazing (if unkempt and thougoughly hard) courses I've been to yet! Even though I lost 4 discs (3 of mine and 1 of the 2 I found) and the brush was up over my head :) Take a look, lots of work people in there (a great shot of Tweet driving with Mt. Hood in the background)
Went to Astoria Friday night and yesterday...saw a great parade, which Kate and her dad were riding in....in a Jag! Saw "Shanghaied in Astoria," one of the craziest stage shows I've ever seen! They change actors every year, so I'm tempted to go back next year. Kate went last year and won one of the raffles for a bunch of Scandinavian gifty stuff Finally got to meet Kate's Uncle Doug and his family as well. I added comments to almost every picture, take a look (there's a great one of Bob's dog Show-nee)
Off to buy new discs :DFeelin': chipper Listenin': Lawnmower outside

Nothing special really happened, but we did do a lot of stuff (unusual!) and actually went out with people (two weekends in a row!) Crazy!
First, three day weekend for me! Time to celebrate the presidents with hours upon hours of guitar hero and katamari damacy! Seriously, Katamari is in my top 5 games of all time now (MK:DD, Morrowind/Oblivion (RPG tie), Tetris and Halo being the other 4), hands down the most fun game I've ever played!
Saturday Kate had an upper GI done in the morning to hopefully figure out what's up with her stomach. My money is on acid reflux, but ulcers and such can't be totally ruled out. Hopefully get feedback from the doc today or tomorrow. After that we tried to find an IHOP near us, silly me turned the wrong way and we ended up just driving for quite some time...almost ended up in Salem! But ended up having a nice brunch (best omelette ever!) Before heading to The Stash and Kate picking up a gorgeous orange glass hookah with some jasmine shisha...tasty! I picked up a cute glass turtle as well...can't go wrong with glass :D Oh! I picked up a glass pumpkin for Kate for Valentine's day...maybe I'll post a pic of it later today (remember, three day weekend?)
Yesterday we finally got out to go discing at Rockwood Central with our friends Gayle and Cory. They'd never been before and Cory picked it up after 5-6 holes! I think he'll be a new partner for discing in the future (when it's actually warm and not raining). Ate dinner with them at Fandango Cantina, loud loud loud mariachi music, but the female singer had a fantastic voice! Holy crap! For a local restaurant which wasn't even full they had a great band! Back to Gayle and Cory's place to smoke some coconut shisha out of their new hookah, mmm...I hate coconut and it was super tasty.
Today, I get to do laundry, wait for our sink/disposal to get fixed (broke yesterday morning), oil change on the bitchin subaru, and maybe some Kingdom Hearts (or more Katamari!)
Later all! *edit* - Yay for maintenance fixing the sink/disposal!Feelin': good Listenin': crap on tv for the moment

First and foremost, happy birthday scoperesolution :)
Now, there're a few things that happened...namely food, pillows and discing!
Food: Kate and I made some vegan jambalaya with faux shrimp purchased at Food Fight...um...I would reccommend against the shrimp...I really liked the taste, but the texture was that of a sponge..and not good sponge like tofu, but bad sponge like eating Nerf. Kate didn't care for the taste (too fishy even for fake fish...possibly kelp extract?) but didn't mind the texture so much....not that she'd eat it again though :)
Pillow fight: Went downtown on Friday night for the pillow fight, there were a few hundred people there, mainly older teens. Looked like eveyone was having quite a bit of fun...and it looked like the cops were tipped off to it b/c they were everywhere on horses, bikes, cars, foot...but as far as I could tell no one was causing a disturbance and apparently the organizers cleaned up all the mess when it was over.
Discing: Decided yesterday morning that we were going to go to Pier Park to play a round before meeting Kate's parents for dinner. Finally found the place after getting a little lost only to discover a PDGA tournament was taking place and we'd have to wait until at least 5p to play...duh! Nice to see that it's so big out here, but we wanted to play there...oh well, next weekend I suppose. So, we ended up heading out to the gorge and playing Rooster Rock West...ended up losing my glow in the dark Moosejaw disc in the high grass on #6...duh...2nd one of them I've lost. Going to head out today/tomorrow to pick up another Disccraft Stratus...won't be the same without the MJ logo :(
So Kate's bday is tomorrow and we went to dinner last night with her parents and gma at Beaches. Not very veg friendly, but the pizza I had was wonderful (and ever so filling) and the drinks...mmm...chambord margaritas. The seafood looked especially fresh, although Kate was the only one who ordered any...everyone else had chicken (sans me, obviously)...which is odd since it is a seafood joint...oh well :D Because it was Kate's bday, she got a crown, a lei, personalized menu, a candle and a coffee cup full of salt water taffy! Oh yeah! Free stuff is always good :) Here're a few pics
And yet another reason to hate MySpace ;)Feelin': thirsty Listenin': "Is this the end of Zombie Shakespeare?" - The Simpsons on TV

Yesterday we went discing in Ft. Collins at Edora Park, nice facility but crazy layout...wrapped around all sorts of stuff (here's a map if you're interested).
Anywho, I took pictures and actually put captions on them this time :D
Day Three!
Today I think we're going to go discing in Boulder, hit up Pearl Street and maybe go climbing (aka Josh takes pictures of crazy bastards falling off the mountain)....should be fun!
Oh, and here's a map of the trip!Feelin': groggy

Well, I made it into Colorado...seriously, Denver's airport is confusing!
Went discing at Westminster DGC, nice course...lots of prairie dogs popping their heads out and makeing utterly cute noises! Some very tricky holes, and yes I got pictures! they'll be up eventually :)
Had dinner at Sherpa's...extremely good! I highly reccomend it if you're in Boulder and like indian-ish cuisine..although Nepalese was quite similar, there were some very distinct things on the menu...like yak! Which my dad and sister both had. I tried what was essentially cauliflower and peppers in a semi-spicey tomato/cumin/lemon/something sauce, quite tasty. There was quite the veg selection as well...just about everything could be made veg or had a veg option! Sweet!
Now, we're just sitting around playing Halo with Chris (downstairs neighbor) and may go out later...who knows.
Tomorrow...discing, eating, bar in denver (supposedly) with the parents :)
It's so gorgeous here! Everyone had better believe that I'm posting pics :)Feelin': good Listenin': Morphine - Other Side

» things from today...sucky!!!
I get to work...so "none" of the keyboards work...flapdoodle! It's the f'n headphones that don't work! Why do users insist that they don't when they *all* do..ok, so some of the keys are broken on a few of them (less than 10 keys for 24, 5+ y.o. keyboards) but they're mostly on the back row...stupid people.
Discing today (20mph winds 40mph gusts)...yeah, I lost my favorite disc in the Kish on #6 when a huge gust turned it over after ~10 feet and it skipped another 60+ feet along the ground right into the river! D'oh! Luckily Than still has his and is willing to trade for my tye dyed disc...which is supposedly a better disc, but I can't throw it for shit! Literally, it doesn't go where I want it to! So we're going to trade when I go out there for Thanksgiving...
Oh yeah! I'm going to Boulder for Thanksgiving. Flying out on wednesday and driving back with my parents on Sat/Sun. Should be fun!
Anywho, went up to Rkfd to see Kate. Happy happy! Made the day totally better! She's coming down tomorrow night to stay until friday night! Yay!
Okay, I'm off to bed now! Hopefully discing tomorrow goes better...I still have 3 more drivers that I can play with :D

» weekend of throwing!
So, since I posted about last weekend on thursday (yeah yeah i know), I figured that monday would be a more appropriate time to update about this past weekend...especially since it wasn't nearly as exciting as going to l'ville!
Friday, Kate came into town early afternoonish and hung out with Diana, Jen and I for a bit before D had to leave. Ran some errands with the two of them before we all went discing. Met up with a f'n ton of people there too! Nate, KT, Ben, Jim, Mark, Mark's roommate, Kate, Jen and myself...9 people...an hour to do 9 holes...we were moving super slow! Everyone shot decently, Kate's getting much better...especially with her short game :) Back to Jen's, ate food, hung out and watched the first half of Contact before heading up to Rkfd for the night.
Saturday, hung out in Rkfd for quite a while before we headed back to DeK and went discing with Jen, Brent and his GF (Elaine?). Again, shot pretty good...nothing spectacular, but decent. Everyone had a good time. Jen, Kate and I headed over to Mike's to hang with him for a bit. Went to Jen's, ate spaghetti with vodka sauce (yum!) and watched all of Contact (I'M OKAY TO GO!) in French with English subs (hehehe). Got Kate to play some MK:DD before the night was out too! Anyway, Jen started to fade so we went back to my place and watched the final episode of Weeds (OMG! I hope that jacket was a fake!) and Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers before passing out.
Sunday. Woke up and decided to go to Jericho to play a round since Kate had never been there (and it's a Kate sized course too! most of the holes are under 250ft!) It started raining on our way out, so we stopped in at Crate & Barrel...saw some cool things, as usual. Then we ate lunch at Noodles & Co. Holy crap I forgot how good their Mac & Cheese was...drool...we ended up polishing off a full order of that plus a full order of pan fried noodles..and a huge-ass rice krispy treat...yum. So good. Off to the park! Played very good, both of us did! I got an eagle on #10 and really close on a few others...I actually think I only had 4-5 over for all 18 holes (hell yeah!). After playing we went to Steak & Shake for a milkshake before heading back to DeK and watching Gilmore Girls (I do like this show, although I haven't seen it in so long that I really had no clue what was going on...but the dialogue is so good, it doesn't matter...although, the acting in this particular episode seemed...well...forced).
Kate crashed at my place last night and is still there now (I'm guessing, haven't heard from her since I came to work.
Anywho...I found a Weeds community on LJ: weeds_sho....hell yeah! And I done got myself a new icon too! I really do like that show!
This week seems like a pretty normal one, not too much going on! I hope I can keep my discing streak up though...been every day since last tuesday :D

artchick94 rocks! She just gave me a piece of baklava her friend Souli brought back from Greek Fest...oh, so good.
More than likely not heading to Jericho today...to expensive! So we're more than likely going to play 18 (27? 36?) in DeK. I'd really like to go hit up a new course, but with gas the way it is...who knows when that'll happen again.
Um...I thought there was something else, but I don't recall..maybe there'll be an edit later...
Interesting...I think if they did make one, it would have better design and NOT look like Windows: Fake GoogleOS screenshots

» Not much here but still....
So I'm not doing much here....woke up super late today...completely slept through my alarm...both of them...and missed Law. I do hate that class, not so much the class as the instructor...he's a dick. Anywho, after rushing around to get ready, I ran down to work and did payroll...fun.
Anywho, I really like my advanced networking class. There are only 9-10 people and on the first night (tuesday) we set up 4 servers (old Compaq PIIs with 4gb of ram...drool), two Windows 2K3, one Fedora2 and one Novell (eew). Next week we're going to be configuring fiber on them to work with IIS, DHCP and our own DNS server...sweet.
Went discing last night with KT and Nate, played 18 holes in DeK. I shot really really well too...we were playing par 3s (whereas we usually play par 4s) and I shot even with KT (he usually shoots 3-4 better than I do) whereas Nate had a horrid day and all but stopped keeping score. Going back out today with them, and Jen, and tomorrow we're going to make the journey (hopefully) to Jericho (Aurora) so everyone else can finally play one of my favorite courses...let's keep our fingers crossed for no lost discs!
The weekend seems to be setting up quite nicely though. hurricanekeke is coming in on either Friday night or Saturday morning (fridayfridayfridayfriday). Going out drinking/eating with sapphiremoon84, artchick94, Mark, Lynda and whoever else on Friday...I think I recall that we're going to Molly's but I'm down with whatever. Saturday is going to be OTW with Kate...I really want to see Brother who I caught a few minutes of last year and they were really good. I also want to see the Brooks Family Reunion, which is Ronnie Brooks, Lonnie Brooks, and Wayne Brooks...should be an excellent show. I know that Kate wants to go check out Better Than Ezra which I would like to see as well. Not too many other acts I know of that I want to see, but OTW is a great place to check out all sorts of music...it'll be great! Pictures will be posted (if I remember that is :) )
So yeah, I thought I had some other stuff to post...but I don't...so here are some games for everyone to kill time with: Troyis (I love this game) Clover (find the four leaf clovers!) Disc golf online! (hehehe) Bust a Move (old skool bitch!)
